RGR uses a proprietary patented technology known as GeoSpectra IPDS® as a decision-tool. After evaluating existing data about a prospect, RGR’s deploys this technology at its own expense. It has, in the past, indicated the existence of hydrocarbons (oil) with a certainty close to 100% in over 100 projects around the globe.
Deploying GeoSpectra IPDS® causes no damage to the environment and delivers fast results. A single team can cover, depending on external conditions, an area of 250 – 1500 acres per day. The data analysis performed on results from a survey is carrie out using proprietary methods which quickly produce a final report containing all the key information necessary for RGR to decide whether to proceed further with their investment and finance the development of any hydrocarbon deposits found.
Thanks to GeoSpectra IPDS®, even the quantity and the production rate can be predicted with accuracy when other information like flow rate, viscosity, porosity etc. is available (this is usually part of the information RGR considers prior to a commitment).
This means, as RGR’s partner, you know before any drilling takes place, if the structures detected by your seismic surveys actually contain oil and you also profit from the fact that GeoSpectra IPDS® has never failed to predict a dry hole, when used to examine a prospective drilling location. Instead of, as is the average in the US, having to drill 5-10 times before you can expect to hit oil, GeoSpetra IPDS® tells you the optimum drilling location in advance and so helps to reduce drilling budgets significantly.
